INFORMATION

A ring from the 14th century BC, New Kingdom period, found in the Amarna region of Egypt. Pharaoh, Akhenaton and queen Nefertiti, God Shu and Goddess Tefnut are depicted on it. Shu is the god of the sky and dry air in Egyptian mythology. Tefnut is the goddess of moisture and rain. In ancient Egypt, things that were meant to be explained were expressed with shapes, not words. It is stated on this unique ring that Akhenaton and Nefertiti are representatives of the earth and the sky. You can see this unique ring in NewYork Metropolitan Museum of Art.
